YO MAPS’ TRY AGAIN IS ZAMBIA’S MOST STREAMED ALBUM ON SPOTIFY WITH OVER 11.86 MILLION STREAMS
The album saw an increase in streams by over 860,000 streams since 1st December, 2024

Today, February 26th, 2025 – Yo Maps’ Try Again album has hit an all time high for a Zambian album on spotify with 11,862,224 streams. The album was released on 1st May, 2023 since then, the album has went on to top several digital streaming platforms, radio and TV stations’ charts becoming Zambia’s biggest album.
Since the album’s release, it has seen three of it’s songs surpass 1.4 million streams on Spotify. These tracks include the biggest song on the album ‘Kondwa featuring Daxon MaAfrica’ with 2.29 million streams, ‘Try Again featuring Able Chungu’ with over 1.78 million streams and ‘Fatima featuring Berita’ with over 1.42 million streams.
The 19 track album took over Roberto who previously held the position for over 8 years as his album Amarulah released in October, 2014 which now stands at 8,619,819 spotify streams. On the third position is Chef 187 with his Broke Nolunkumbwa album which was released on 13th January, 2023 with over 6,106,602 spotify streams and becoming the biggest hip-hop album by a Zambian rapper.
The album has received massive attention from other digital streaming platforms as it was on Boomplay’s top 10 chart for over a year and accumulated over 83 million streams. The album has also gone ahead to accumulate 6.71 million Audiomack streams. The album has a cumulative of over 102 million streams from the three platforms.
The singer has three albums to his belt and they are all in the top 10 most streamed Zambian albums on Spotify signifying the artist’s massive influential vocals and creative artistic abilities. His recent album MY HERO is already following suit has it has accumulated over 2.7 million spotify streams in two months.
It’s accolades go far from streaming as it had won album of the year and song of the year(Try Again featuring Able Chungu) at the 2023 Kwacha Music Awards. The artist also won best male artist on the same night further signifying the impact of the album release in that year. Furthermore, the artist attracted over 40,000 fans to his fill up heroes stadium event that took place on 27th May, 2023.
The artist has been setting trends since his rise to prominent fame in 2019 and continues to do so. The impact his Try Again has had on the music industry can never be underestimated as it has been on a period Zambian music listeners have been shifting to digital streaming platforms. With already so many achievements, fans are looking forward to see if the artist will out do himself or it’ll be ages till one comes close.
