MOST ZAMBIAN ARTISTS SHOULD TRY BAKING BECAUSE THEY CAN’T DO LIVE SHOWS ASSERTS DAVID KAZADI

In a Facebook post, knowledge bank media personality David Kazadi shared an opinion that most of his followers seemed to agree with. The filmmaker and enterpreneur categorically stated that most artists perform karaoke at their shows, which is not live music as they should. Hence, they should refund everyone and try baking.

David Kazadi shared his assertion as he wrote, “Attention, if your live performance is just you playing back the same studio track with a few DJ pauses, then you owe us a refund because that’s karaoke, not a live show. Try baking!”

Robinson Kasao took a stand to defend artists as he wrote a comment metaphorically supposing that even though David Kazadi is condemning karaoke show performing artist, he might not have an idea about what it takes to do it. He wrote, “80% of us who condemn pork have a minimal idea about being a pig. This comment is strictly about pigs.”

David Kazadi took a swing back as he said, “20% are more than enough to be shepherds to the pigs and the 80%. Furthermore, one need not be a pig to understand that they’re messy and need to be helped. Strictly about pigs, oink, oink.”

The majority of social users who follow him were in agreement with his unfiltered opinion as one expressed disappointment but praising gospel artists for efforts to do live music. The social user wrote, “It’s so pathetic to go for a show only finding artists doing exactly that more especially here in Zambia.”

He continued, “At least most gospel artists are doing live music the likes of pompi, Abel chungu, Christine, etc. But few of these other artists kudos to Amayenge, Danny Kaya, and just a few of secular musical artists. Thanks, Kazadi, for this timely reminder.”

One social user jokingly agreed with David Kazadi as he said, “I know you have a lawyer and you’re correct too,” whilst another called out his artists for doing karaoke at their shows to which he responded, “Most do indeed but not our artists, new or old,” before attaching a video of Mordecaii performing live music.

For a long time now, Zambian music lovers have complained of Zambian artists who lip sync at their shows, saying they do not get value for their money as they expect live music.

On the other hand, artists have been defending themselves saying live music requires a lot of money to pay the band and Zambian music show goers pay peanuts to attend those show from which the money raised can not be used to pay the whole team.
