JEMAX’S THE BOOGEYMAN HITS 2.5 MILLION SPOTIFY STREAMS, SETTLES AS SECOND MOST STREAMED RAP ALBUM ON THE PLATFORM

Released on 24th May, 2024 – Rapper Jemax’s The Boogeyman album has held on to the second spot as the second most streamed album rap album on spotify in Zambia only after Chef 187’s Broke Nolunkumbwa album.
The album had an impressive 437,932 streams addition in the last three months to hit 2,521,630 spotify streams, signifying its continued growth. The album, which also sits on the second position on the most streamed album on spotify, released in 2024 out of 46 album has become the rapper’s most successful release of all time.
Jemax’s The Boogeyman has also shown signicant dominance on other digital streaming platforms such as boomplay hitting over 63.1 million streams, bringing a cumulative total streams from the two platforms 65.6 million streams.
The 22 track album has seen several tracks from the album surpass over 100,000 streams with Mpawi featuring Jae Cash and Kays Adamz hitting 370,408 streams, One Day and Rhoda featuring Yo Maps hitting 357,447 and 242,377 streams respectively as top song from the album on spotify.
The rapper who staved his fans for 11 months as he let them feast on his album finally came through for them releasing Fyototo featuring Wallydoo a song that talks about how hard work comes with it’s own complications such as failure to find time to enjoy the very hard work.
JEMAX remains a dominant figure in the hip-hop circles as well as the Zambian music scene in general setting trends and redefining the art of musical artistry as demonstrated by his album’s success, influence and diversity.
