“UNFOLLOW ME IF I TEMPT YOU, WHAT AN HONOUR TO BE THE CENTRE OF YOUR DESIRES” – TOWELA KAIRA OVER HER SEXUALLY PROVOCATIVE DANCES AND DRESSING

In a clip circulating from Diamond TV’s On The Table hosted by Chimweka Chileshe, top RnB/Afrofusion artist Towela Kaira was seen unapologetic about her dancing and dressing which sometimes by many social users regard as highly erotic.

With curiosity, Chimweka asked a question he seemingly had been wanting to ask for a long time. He asked, “Do you find it a problem when people objectify you as an artist?” To which he received a blunt response from the singer, “No, I don’t mind,” responded Towela Kaira.

Chimweka, in trying to process her response, which she didn’t take a second to process, asked, looking puzzled, “That’s like one of the first people I’ve ever heard say that.”

Towela Kaira dropped another grenade on the journalist when she said she found it amusing that thirst people salivate at the sight of her raunchy version. “I don’t mind because that’s entirely on you. So what an honour to be the centre of your desires!”

The two laughed after she responded before she continued asserting that the fact people find her sexually appealing means she’s beautiful and confident.

“Really, truly – it could be anybody, you know! That means I’m beautiful, that means I’m confident. Even people that hate me, I’m just like agh, I understand, why would you? I remind you of everything you are not,” said Towela Kaira.

Chimweka Chileshe then asked the singer, “Others feel like you sexual tease people with your dance moves, maybe what you wear, you put them in the position to objectify you like that.”

To which the singer respondend, stating that those who feel like she tempts are at liberty to unfollow her, “Aah! Takwaba efyo, takwaba. Ngaulefwaya nishi ulefwaya, taba patikisha. Ngawachi mbona shani? Tekuchita nga ndekutwala mumesho,” responded Towela Kaira.

Towela Kaira has faced public scrutiny over her dressing and dances as many find them as going against the moral standards in Zambia.

Towela Kaira has shown consistency in her responses a few weeks ago when she was asked by the BBC’s DJ Edu over the same topic the singer responded, “I do cross the line with what they are comfortable with here and there but not enough to be a problem, but I will be soon watch out, watch out, watch out.”

She further said, “I think people love that I’m a free spirit. They are intrigued by how I don’t care about bad things, and I’m just living my life. It’s like I wanna be like that, you know, I don’t wanna care what people think.”

She continued, “I feel like that’s a superpower because most time I’m just like, oh! There’s such a thing? Or your brothers are gonna see you in a bikini, oh well, it’s the internet, what are gonna do? You know, just live your life on your terms.”
