SOCIALITE MULO QUESTIONS WHY TRIPLE M WAS DRESSED LIKE A “MALE STRIPPER” AT A WEDDING, SUGGESTED TO EMULATE DRIMZ & ROBERTO

TOP Zambian rapper Triple M shared a status update on his socials caption a picture of him at a wedding with MC Cosmas Ng’andwe and the newly weds with, “What if we bless your marriage with Tepapa?”
The rapper was dressed in a two-piece, shiny, tan or light brown ensemble with the a large, structured collar and a somewhat oversized jacket and cargo-style pockets.
What followed was a series of praises. Sandwiched in those comments were a select few, not necessarily fashion experts, but from their perspective, the rapper was not dressed appropriately for the occasion.
One social user, Ja Mwa, wrote, “Apparently, Drimz is the only one who knows how to dress when he’s called to perform for a function.”
He continued, “Zambian musicians need to learn kuti, you just don’t dress up anyhow for a wedding function just because you are an artist. Please, sindimwe ma male strippers bane, learn how to dress accordingly.”
Another social user was noted pointing out that the rapper was well dressed for a Show Grounds occasion and not a wedding. “The outfit didn’t go with the occasion kwati niku show ground sure, wedding yabanenu?” Said Takondwera M. Phiri in the post’s comment section.
Well, one notable social media commentator Mulo did not let this one skip as he also threw in his opinion on the rapper’s outfit by quoting the rapper’s post.
He wrote, “Most of these Zambian musicians should have a sense of occasion when it comes to dressing. They should emulate Roberto and Drimz. How are you going to dress like a male stripper at your friend’s wedding?
Rapper Triple M’s wedding performance outfit has certainly sparked a fashion debate online, with some criticizing his outfit as inappropriate while others did not see anything wrong with it.
Calls for Zambian artists to be more mindful of how they present themselves at formal events have ignited after this incident. Do you think the rapper was not properly dressed for the event?
