YO MAPS NOMINATED FOR AFRIMA AWARDS’ BEST MALE ARTISTE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA – FANS HOPEFUL HE’LL BOOT NASTY C, TYLER ICU, OTHERS TO CLAIM VICTORY

TOP Zambian artist YO MAPS has been nominated for the 2025 AFRIMA Awards in the category BEST MALE ARTISTE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA sponsored by his 2025 smash hit song MR & MRS.

The nominees for the prestigious awards were announced yesterday, and Davido, Burna Boy, El Grand Toto, and others have dominated the nominations list.
Yo Maps is facing Nasty C, Tyler ICU, Kabza De Small, Manana and Wanitwa Mos(all from South Africa), and Anderson Mario(Angola), Jah Prayzah(Zimbabwe), Teddy Makadi and Zeze Kingston(both from Malawi).
The singer joins several fellow Zambian artists who have been nominated for an ALL AFRICA MUSIC AWARD(AFRIMA) which include MAMPI, MACKY 2, ROBERTO, CLEO ICE QUEEN with only Cleo Ice Queen winning Best Female Artist in Southern Africa in 2021.
Voting is set to start this September 10th, 2025, on AFRIMA’s official website and the awards ceremony set for November 30th, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria.
For the singer’s fans, despite facing Southern Africa’s musical giants, they are confident enough that they will bring the award home.
