In July 2021, TV personality and socialite Mutale Mwanza announced that she was going to be giving scholarships to two deserving underprivileged females with at least 10 grade twelve points or lower.
According to her scholarship announcement, she was only going to cover the girls’ tuition for the entirety of their program.
Her socials were flooded with recommendations from which she chose Savior Muchimba and Serena Mwale.
The two enrolled into Cavendish University Zambia under the Mutale Mwanza scholarship with Savior Muchimba and Serena Mwale pursuing a bachelor’s degree in development studies and Bachelor of Law respectively.
Today, over four years later, the two are set to graduate this Friday at Cavendish University Zambia’s 18th graduation ceremony, which is set to be held at Mulungushi International Conference Center in Lusaka.
In announcing the development, the proud Mutale Mwanza wrote in part, “Who remembers my precious scholars, Saviour and Serena, recipients of the Mutale Mwanza Scholarship at Cavendish University? Guess what? They’re graduating this Friday!”
According to one of her relatives, Savior Muchimba is reportedly set to graduate with a distinction in her program.
Mutale Mwanza has been commended for her selfless action in helping the girls have a better future and making their dream to acquire tertiary education come true.
With gratitude, Serena Mwale wrote, “4 years later, and it still feels so surreal. I am forever grateful, Mutale Mwanza.”
