TOP Zambian singer has bagged two nominations at Malawi’s Urban Music People Awards 2025 (UMP Awards) and he is going against the big names in African music, including Burna Boy, Tyla, Tems and Diamond Platinumz.
He is nominated in the categories;
□ African artist of the year
The nominees in this category are BURNA BOY, DIAMOND PLATNUMZ, TEMS, TYLA, and YO MAPS.
□ SADC Region artist of the year
The nominees in this category are DIAMOND PLATNUMZ, MAWHOO, ONESIMUS, SCOTTS MAPHUMA, and YO MAPS
These nominations highlight the singer’s impact on the African music scene.
The award ceremony is scheduled for 25th October 2025 at the UMP Music Festival in Cape Maclear, Malawi.
