CHEF 187 emotionally rapped about losing his son “BUPE” at birth on I LOVE YOU” off the AMENSO PAMO album released on digital streaming platforms in 2015.

The rapper talked about how excited he was when his sister-in-law told him that he was expecting a child, but after 9 months of waiting and preparing, it was a stillbirth.
“Zina nenze planin̈a kuku itana Bupe, ndaba wenze sign ya vintu va mushe. Ine na mai wako tenze kulindila, paka yonse 9 months kusila, china ipa chabe pa very last day, unachoka okufa, tenze libe say,” he rapped on the first verse.
The rapper went on to say that after losing his child, he kept thinking about how BUPE would have looked, either like him or his uncle ‘umupondo’ Macky 2.
CHEF 187 then went on to talk about how his sister LINDIWE shares the same birthday with BUPE and how he knew that he was happy where he was.
The singer reminded his late son that they will meet soon and that he and the person on the chorus love him unconditionally.
The song is powerful and touching, off his first album Amenso Pamo. It reminds his fans how the rapper went raw and shared a seemingly personal story that many relate to, to this day.
