MACKY 2 DISAPPOINTED IN FRANK RO’S OLIJABA ENT EXIT: WE INVESTED TIME, RESOURCES & BELIEF
Rapper MACKY 2 has expressed disappointment in singer FRANK RO leaving his record label, saying, “I guess I just expected a bit more loyalty.”

The singer announced his departure in a statement, citing the end of their contractual agreement and clarified that there’s no negativity, only gratitude and respect.
However, Macky 2 suggested his departure was influenced by emotions as he reminded the singer that although the label is a family, it invested resources, time, and belief in his potential.
He further warned, “The next young artist watching your exit needs to see that this is a two-way street. The way you carry yourself now might close doors for the next talent who deserves a shot at a deal.”
“I’m writing this as a teachable moment. To every signed artist… Remember what the label sacrificed for you. Then ask yourself what you gave back,” he added.
Frank Ro joined Olijaba Entertainment in 2022 on undisclosed terms, and during his time at the record label, he released his biggest songs “DO OR DIE feat. Macky 2” and “SOTAMBE feat. Yo Maps,” and received several Kwacha Music Awards nominations and wins at Music Video Africa and the Ngoma Awards in 2025.
Like Frank Ro, the rapper said he is not bitter and still believes in him, wished him the best on his new path, and stated that his doors are still open for him.
