MY DAUGHTER ONLY KNEW MY BAD SIDE BECAUSE OF MY BABY MAMA VENTS BROKENHILL EMMY ON NEW SONG
Rapper Brokenhill Emmy took things personal on his new song ‘Say Hello To Dad‘ as he took the opportunity to express his emotions regarding his estranged relationship with his daughter and baby mama.
The song whose chorus sends a strong message of his desire to reconnect with his daughter who he claims to love so much. BrokenHill Emmy claims his baby mama only told his daughter bad things about her father, he sung with an emotional striken tone,”umwana aishibafye the bad side of me, baby mama alinishitisha, it’s hard for me, daddy daddy say hello.”
The rapper continues to say, “fyonse bakweba fya bufi abo, say hello, nalishiba nshimoneka but say hello, daddy loves you,” the rapper continues in his efforts to win over his daughter’s heart.
The rapper in the first verse laments about the bad things that his daughter has been told. He defends himself as he says he has been through a lot in life and still loves his daughter. “Umwana fye aishiba daddy waoyo, your dad don’t care asangwa nama yo,” the rapper vented in explaining the extent to which his baby mama has tainted his name.
The rapper added that his daughter was told that he had destroyed her mother’s life as she had a bright future and she wouldn’t be suffering like she was. Furthermore, his daughter was told that the rapper was never there to support, love and care for her claiming that he spent time with other women instead, allegations he refute. The rapper closed verse one with reaffirmation to his daughter that he and her mother do love her, and he’s proud of how much she’s grown.
“Fyonse fyabufi efyo mummy lie lie,” rapped the rapper as tried to tell his daughter he is a good man hence she should listen to both stories before making a judgement. BrokenHill Emmy also tried to make it clear to his daughter that he is the only father she has and if he dies she would never get a chance to be with him again. “This is your daddy, lesa obe number two, in case nafwaka takwaba part two,” the rapper vented.
He promised to explain to his daughter when she is old enough the reasons why things never worked between him and her mother, and his earlier absence in her life. The rapper promise to be a good father and work hard for her sake as things were hard for him before.
“I will make your life easy, daddy works hard, I am within, please don’t feel sad,” a beautiful line as the rapper closed verse two, offering some sense of comfort to his daughter, who seemingly was affected by all that she was told.
BrokenHill Emmy who calls himself the real life situations rapper, lived up to his name and rap theme in this song. Most importantly he highlighted his estranged relationship with his daughter and his willingness to man up and take his ‘daddy’ role seriously. Hopefully the daughter will be ‘hello’ louder going forward.
