CHEF 187 SPEAKS ON BLAKE – “I PROVIDED A PLATFORM, IT’S UP TO HIM TO UTILIZE IT”

Rapper Chef 187 opened up about his collaboration with singer Blake when he featured on Kenny T 1 ON 1 podcast’s episode 20.

His host Kenny T asked if the rapper had any plans to sign or work with him again after their smash collaboration on “NOBODY” off his Broke Nolunkumbwa album.

The rapper who acknowledged that the song is his biggest song in terms of streaming numbers responded, “That was a very big platform for Blake, and it’s up to him to utilise it. I only provided the platform and I can only support whatever he decides to do.

The rapper further said that he doesn’t like to make it seem like he is using an artist. Therefore, he would have liked Blake to feature him since he featured on his song.

“I try to avoid situations that make it look like I’m using an artist. So since Blake ali jumping’a pali song yandi, let’s have a Blake song where I jump on,” said the rapper.

The rapper would further reveal that the two have worked on a couple of songs together, and it is now up to him to put the songs out when he is ready.

Chef 187’s NOBODY went ahead to hitting 7.6 million YouTube views and over 1,030,971 spotify streams serving as a huge platform the Blake whose vocals on the song echoed in every club in Zambia and in some abroad.

But since his appearance on NOBODY in 2023, the singer has not done so much impact as he struggles to keep the momentum with only two notable releases, DIRTY featuring Macky 2 and MY SHAWTY featuring Jemax last year.

Did the artist fail to seize the moment and build an audience for himself when the whole country had its ears ready to listen to him? Well, what do you think?
