Popular comedian Charity Katanga has announced through her socials that she is now married to her longtime partner Kangwa Chilekwa, whom she met through Facebook.
The comedian is taking Chilanga Mulilo to Kangwa today, an event attended by a fellow socialite Kili. “From knowing each other from Facebook back in 2019 to being husband and wife,” said Charity Katangah.
The comedian recounted how he suggested meeting her parents in 2021, but she turned it down because she wasn’t ready for marriage at the time.
With determination to turn her into his wife, Chilekwa promised to wait for her until she is ready and reassured her that she would not have to stop pursuing her passion “comedy” when they got married further stating he loves her work and he would support her she revealed.
“Mr. Chilekwa, I am here to tell you we are now husband and wife, and thank you for waiting for me till I got ready for marriage. I love you, sir,” she added.
Charity Katangah and now husband got engaged in November of 2024, and about 10 months later, he has turned her into a wife.
