COMEDIAN MWINE MUSHI DIES

Popular comedian Robam Mwape alias Mwine Mushi has passed away, his immediate elder brother filmmaker Owas Ray Mwape confirmed the tragedy through his socials.

He wrote, “Family and friends, my young brother Robam Mwape aka Mwine Mushi has past(passed) away in Solwezi.”
The veteran comedian’s cause, nature, and manner of death have not been revealed but he was reported to have been suffering from high blood pressure. He is believed to have been 51 years old at the time of his death.
Before his death, Mwine Mushi, a versatile actor and scriptwriter featured in the popular TV show Kabanana as Matongo and was in charge of production at Muvi TV’s Copperbelt office.
For Robam Mwape, it was his role in Muvi TV’s Zambian comedy series Mwine Mushi that stole people’s hearts and propelled him into prominent fame.
The news of this death has shocked his fans, industry peers, and his family as many claim they had interacted with him at a mall hours before his untimely death.
He is survived by a wife, five children and two grandchildren.
