DAVID KAZADI ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH MWAKA HALWIINDI’S SEX TAPE, HOT FM FIRES HIM FROM CEO POSITION
Several days ago, a video went viral on messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram showing popular TV personality and brand influencer Mwaka Halwiindi giving oral sex to an unidentified man.
Yesterday, a report by News Diggers revealed that the Zambian police service had arrested and detained popular filmmaker and The Icon Zambia proprietor David Kazadi in connection with the Mwaka Halwiindi issue.
The Zambian police service has not issued any statement regarding the details of Mr. Kazadi’s arrest as investigations into the matter is still underway.
In a shocking turn of events, a few hours after the news broke out of Mr. Kazadi’s arrest, HOT Media Group through its socials announced the dismissal of Mr. Kazadi as Chief Executive Officer of HOT FM Zambia, citing serious allegations that are in conflict with the institution’s internal code of conduct and protection of their brand, stuff, and the public they serve.”
The media wrote, “Hot FM Zambia confirms that Mr. David Kazadi has been relieved of his duties as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect, following his recent arrest and the serious allegations currently under police investigation.”
It continued, “While we uphold the principles of due process and the presumption of innocence, the nature of the allegations stands in direct conflict with Hot FM Zambia’s values as a trusted media institution. In line with our internal code of conduct, we have taken this action to protect the integrity of our brand, our staff, and the public we serve.”
The institution further added that Mr. Kazadi no longer holds any position in the institution, and they are fully cooperating with the authorities. They remain committed to supporting the legal process as it unfolds.
David Kazadi’s Kazadi Films released a statement confirming his arrest, stating they are aware of the recent alleged scandal and investigations.
The company emphasized its commitment to transparency, accountability, and cooperation with authorities. They assured the public that they are taking the matter seriously, working diligently to resolve the situation, and will provide regular updates as the investigation progresses.
