DIZMO lists YO MAPS, ROBERTO and CHEF 187 among the only international artists in Zambia.
The rapper said an international artist is one whose music or craft is being played or recognized in a region other than where they originate from.
DIZMO, who said there are more than 10 international artists in Zambia, also included himself, MACKY 2, and SLAPDEE.
“The list is endless, like I’ve said. Why? Because I’m one of them and I’ve seen people play my music outside Zambia—in Namibia, you know what I mean?” he added.
He continued, saying Zambians are skeptical about their artists’ international status because they haven’t broken fully into those markets; however, they have listeners in foreign countries, and he has over 50 collaborations with musical artists from other countries.
