FAITH BWALYA TO REPRESENT ZAMBIA AT MISS WORLD IN INDIA AFTER ZAMBIA’S 7 YEARS ABSENSE 

On 20th April, 2025 – Zambians were glued to their screens as they caught a glimpse of Miss Universe Zambia 2025 grand finale orchestrated by Ms Alice Rowlands Musukwa’s ARM Model Management Agency and the event saw Faith Bwalya being crowned as Miss World Zambia 2025.

The event also saw 19 year-old Namakau Nawa being crowned as Miss Supranational 2025, Kunda Mwamulima as Miss Universe Zambia 2025, and Anna Musonda as Miss Grand International 2025.

The winner of the Miss World Zambia 2025 Faith Bwalya will now be heading to Telangana in India to represent Zambia at the 72nd edition of Miss World. The peagent will take place from May 7th to 31st, and Faith is expected to depart for India on May 5th.

The Miss World Zambia 2025 winner is a Medical Licentiate by profession and is a founder of a foundation called “The Voice of Faith Foundation” whose sole purpose is to improve the lives of children, youths and disabled individuals.

The 24-year-old will be competing at the peagent where the last Zambian representative was Musa Kalaluka in 2018, hence making it seven years since Zambia’s last appearance on the world stage.

Faith Bwalya will be looking forward to be the first Zambian Miss World representative to reach top three as no Zambian has ever been able to since it’s debut on Miss World stage in 1974, London, United Kingdom with Mable Chipasha as the representative.

For an event that attracts many women from across the world for a showcase of beauty, talent, and intelligence, it leaves many wondering what is in for the contestants?

Well, several reports suggest that the winner of the competition walks away not only with prestige and global recognition but also with a prize money of one million United States dollars according to the Miss Planet website.

The prize money is mere speculation as the Miss World organization doesn’t publicize the cash prize given to the title holder. The winner of peagent walks away with a prestigious title and a platform to engage in global humanitarian works.
