FRANK RO SAYS HE PUT “WOKE EP” ON BOOMPLAY BECAUSE HE WANTS IT TO REACH & CONNECT WITH PEOPLE

While featuring on POWER TV’s Zaye Zahala hosted by Suecey, singer Frank Ro answered to a question about him putting his music on all digital streaming platforms except Boomplay.

He told Suecey that he still has his music on Boomplay because other people are still consuming it using the platform.
He further added, explaining why he put his WOKE extended play on the platform despite other artists boycotting it.
He said, “Yeah, and for me, I was able to adjust because what I wanted for this project was for it to reach the people and for them to understand and just be part of the journey.”
Zambian artists have been pushing for boycotting and suing Boomplay because of failing to make their obligatory payments, but for Frank Ro and his team, their plan is clear.
“I didn’t want to be so big on the business side of it and whatever, I just really wanted to have a connection with the people,” he said.
Frank Ro’s WOKE EP accumulated over 200,000 streams on Boomplay and has over 190,000 streams on Spotify since its release on July 15th, 2025.
The singer said that next time, he may consider not putting his projects on Boomplay, but for now, his goal is to reach and connect with people.
