FRANK SIBBUKU SAYS RED BAG PART 2 IS IN PRODUCTION, BA MATERO TO FEATURE

Renowned Zambian filmmaker and proprietor of the biggest Zambian telenovela Mpali – Frank Sibbuku says the 2014 hit movie RED BAG is coming back for a second part and it features the country’s top comedians.
Speaking to PACRA Deputy Registrar Intellectual Property Chewe Chilufya, when he paid the institution a consult visit on copyrighting his works, the filmmaker hinted on the new works which are in the pipeline.
PACRA through its socials reported, “He also touched on The Red Bag 2, an All Star comedy currently under production which features the likes of comedians like Ba Matero, Bikilon and Difikoti, Mwine Mushi, Kay Star, Ndine Emma, Vubwi and Shupiwe from Mpali among others.”
Red Bag is an action-comedy movie written by Christopher Phiri and directed by Frank Sibbuku which follows a story of a wealthy man whose mysterious red bag stolen by his sevant is snatched by a crafty driver sparking a chaotic series of chases and mishaps as multiple characters including the owners scrumble to retrieve it creating a grappling yet comedic tale.
For over 10 years now, the fans have not gotten over it as they have kept requesting for a second part – and now they have it coming their way with the country’s top comedians featuring creating an exciting anticipation.
Filled with unforgettable chase scenes, chaotic humor, and flavor, Red Bag stands as one of the top Zambia’s standout indie films.
Now, with Part 2 on the horizon, its fans look forward to seeing if it’ll reveal all its secrets and/or spark even more, mayhem? One thing is true, though – Frank Sibbuku is not done yet.
