GHETTO CELEB STOPED GIRLFRIEND RANJIE BARBIE FROM SPEAKING ENGLISH BECAUSE THEY ARE FROM COPPERBELT
While featuring on POWER TV’s Power Connect hosted by Suecey, the internet love couple sensation and music duo AMA SWEET DONDO opened up about their relationship, music careers and working as a duo.
The host, Suecey, went on to ask the duo what they were struggling with as duo singers that they would want help with. They responded, “Ichola tata.”
One half of Ama Sweet Dondo Ranjie Barbie would continue to speak, but in English, as she said, “Fyonse kaili falls under money. For us to go to the studio and record, it needs money. Movement to reach there, it’s money, ichola tata. Fyonse nimpiya baby.”
As she kept mentioning “MONEY” in her response, she was reprimanded by her boyfriend Ghetto Celeb for saying “money” instead of “Ichola,” further telling her to use Bemba and not English.
“Oh ichola tata, walinkanya English, elo naipusha darling, sorry,” said Ranjie Barbie.
Ghetto Celeb went on saying, “No English, no speaking English, we are from Copperbelt, Kopala,” before his girlfriend calmly said, “Calm down, I’ve heard my darling.”
Her apologies would continue as their whole exchange was in English, a language they are trying to avoid speaking.
Ghetto Celeb, who is originally from Kapiri Mposhi, met Ranjie Barbie, who is from Kabwe through a TikTok live matching game, which went viral and the two later chose to make things official.
□ The two believe that everyone who lives after 10 miles is from Copperbelt.
The two would later set the internet ablaze with their couple videos and migrate from being solo artists to being a duo under the name Ama Sweet Dondo. The two have released successful singles such as Culture and Never, which features Goddy Zambia.
The love between the two seems to be strong as they held hands during the entire course of the interview.
Now living in Lusaka’s Makeni compound, Ama Sweet Dondo continues to set trends. With their language preferences and conduct, they have won the hearts of many social users and continue to do so.
