I CAN’T TELL DANNY KAYA THAT I’M HIS DADDY, MY SONS KNOW THEMSELVES – SLAPDEE 

While featuring on TEA with TASH, amidst a conversation about his children and their relationship, host Tash brought up Slapdee’s Father’s Day post.

Tash said, “A few weeks ago, it was Father’s Day, and he wrote this caption on his Facebook saying the industry needs to wish him a happy Father’s Day because…?”

The rapper excitedly finished her sentence, “I’m their daddy! I’m your daddy, okay! It’s me!”

Slapdee’s Father’s Day post read, “The game needs to send me happy Fathers Day messages. I fatherd y’all.”

The rapper then decided to take a moment and clarify his statement as it brought a lot of talking with people asking about people who came before him. “There’s levels,” he acknowledged.

The rapper went on to say, “I’d never say to Danny “I’m your daddy” cause I came after Danny, I came after Exile, I came after JK and they definitely don’t care about me posting that.”

He then turned to the camera while positioning himself properly in his seat before continuing, “My sons, you know who you are! I’m your pops, you know what I mean? I’m your daddy, I’m your father! In fact, call me your forefather.”

Slapdee’s claim of his industry influence in a Father’s Day post stirred conversation. The rapper acknowledged artists who came before him and highlighted that his statement was directed at the newer generation who owe part of their journey to his legacy.
