The artist whose first rise to fame came in June of 2023 after a snippet of his hit single FIRE went viral on Zambian TikTok and Facebook. Because of this viral spead, the artist was scouted by popular film maker and social media personality David Kazadi securing his spotlight on the Zambian music scene.

The visualizer of leading single off the album has surpassed 500,000 YouTube views, despite criticism of the quality of the video – its catchy rhythm and melody have had the fans hooked, abusing the repeat button rendering its success on the platform.

The artist has only accumulated 329,347 spotify streams in that same period. Even though they may not be quite a lot, it has just been a little over 20 days, with those numbers, the album promises to achieve more as time goes by – and possibly contend for album of the year at the Kwacha Music Awards 2025.

The artist who is now independent after leaving Kazadi Music will have a point to prove – can he make it bigger without David Kazadi’s connections? In his own words during a ZMB Talks with Edna, the artist said, “I think I would have blown, but maybe not just as fast because the record label and Mr Kazadi had the tools to get me there,” when talking about his former label’s influence on his career.

The artist is talented and has a lot to offer as observed from his album which is vasetile with a mixture of different sound giving fans a variety to listen to. For now we congratulate the singer for his success so far with the album as his followers watch on and wait eagerly for his next move as an independent artist.
