MUZO AKA ALPHONSO IS RECOVERING WELL SAYS RAPPER SLAPDEE
In his visit to Great North Road Academy Rehab Center, Top Zambian rapper Slapdee shared a note on fellow rapper Muzo's condition
February 18, 2025 – Rapper Slapdee took a visit to one of Great North Road Group of Companies’ subsidiary Great North Road Academy Rehab Center in what seemed like a duty visit as the artist was recently announced as the company’s brand ambassador.
His visit to the rehab center was illuminated with the presence of fellow industry peers Bobby East, Nez Long, JK and permanent secretary in the ministry of Sports, Youths and Arts Mr Fumba Chama alias Pilato who graced the visit with smiles.
Important of note in his caption of the visit to the rehab facility owned by business tycoon Dr. Rozious Siatwambo is his update on singer Muzo AKA Alphonso condition. He wrote in part, “I was mostly delighted to meet with the one and only Muzo Alphonso who was in high spirits and brought a lot of joy to all of us with the remarkable recovery he has made so far.”
Rapper Muzo AKA Alphonso has been a subject of conversation in the media for number of years now starting in 2019-2020 when videos and images of him were widely shared where he was abusing alcohol, drugs, looking dirty and disorganised with many people questioning his mental status and calling for fellow industry peers to assist him financially as he seemed struggling.
A superstar whose trouble span as far a before high-school due to alcohol and drug abuse admitted in an interview on Getting Candid with Hellen in August 2020 that fame and money was too much – at just 19 years-old the artist couldn’t handle it and result in the abuse, with no proper direction and guidance the artist was all over the streets in bad a condition.
The 30 year-old rapper is a multi-award winning artist as he won Best New Comer at the Zambian Music Awards in 2014 and won each time he was nominated for Best Northen Province at Kwacha awards. Adored by his fans and having more than 600,000 followers on his Facebook, the singer was destined to dominate Zambian hip-hop if his potential was well utilized but his lifestyle has always affect the maximum utilization of his inborn gift.
Maybe the fans who have for a long time hoped for a prime Muzo AKA Alphonso might get a chance to witness his greatness. Rapper Slapdee added in his comment on the rapper’s condition who has been receiving help from the rehab center as he said, “We hope to see our brothers back in society soon and able to share their experiences with others facing similar battles.”
Muzo AKA Alphonso has worked with rapper Slapdee on a track that took the nation by storm titled SOMONE whose chorus featured the vocals of prominent Zambian singer Mumba Yachi providing the seasoning to the rappers’ bars making one of the top rated songs by rapper Slapdee.
His fans and family looked forward to his discharge and hoping for a transformed artist and relative as they hope to see him achieve greatness like his idols J Cole and Big Sean. How do you this the rapper’s come back will be received?
