MWIZUKANJI WITHDREW HER DIAMOND TV’S POTYAS NOMINATIONS TO GIVE CHANCE FOR OTHERS TO BE HONOURED
Socialite and enterpreneur Mwizukanji has withdrawn her nominations in the Diamond TV’s Personality Of The Year Awards(POTYAS) 2025, stating that the spotlight belongs to someone else this year.
In a statement shared on her socials, she said she is honoured to be nominated and expressed gratitude for the continued recognition, having won the award several times.
She added that this year, she wants to see other content creators, influencers, and hustlers being honored for the work they are doing.
“My desire this year is to see the valued and well-deserved votes go to another nominee without being split by my presence on the ballot,” said the socialite.
Mwizukanji, who said she does not believe in withdrawing from such prestigious and credible awards, acknowledged that this could make her seem ungrateful and possibly carry negative connotations.
“I regard this double nomination as a double win already. It means the world to me, and I will forever remain a self-identified brand ambassador for these awards,” she added.
Mwizukanji asked her fans to channel their support to another deserving nominee and further hoped to attend the award ceremony as a cheerleader and not competitor.
Mwizukanji was nominated in two categories, which included Social Media Personality of the Year and Social Media Influencer.
