NAME A BETTER COLLABORATION THAN B FLOW AND JUDY’S CRY OF A WOMAN

Throwback Thursday – Zambian music has evolved with time, but one thing for sure is that classic records have stood the test of time. Carrying a great message is a catalyst for longevity, and that is what B Flow and Judy did with their hit collaboration CRY OF A WOMAN.

After its released in 2013, the song took over radio, television, and the street as it was buzzing everywhere. The harmonious syncron in their conversation-like delivery as they sent a message of how men do not appreciate their women resonated with listeners attributed to most of its success.

The two sang their hearts out as if their rent was due. Judy sang, “Ukulandafye icishinka, abaume aba tulabatemwa, baiyonawilafye abene, bafwaya epo bamona basomeka.” B Flow then responded as he sung, “Futi kukamba vazoona, akazi bathu bamatikonda, timazionongela chabe, tikabapwanyila mitima, ise.” This part does not have to play to remember, nostalgia, right?

One thing unique about B Flow is the fact that through his music, he has made an effort to talk about issues that highly affect society. These include but not limited to early marriages, gender based violence, child molestation and abuse. On this record, the singer took time to call out me who do such harm to women and children.

The singer sung, “Bambi beikata utubana, ninshi nokupa bali upa. Bambi baleuma abakashi bao, wife bartering lyonse pa NEWS. Bambi balala mufikulwa, nokusha abana nensala. Bambi balisha ama girlfriends, nokusha madam helpless,” denouncing the acts.

Any person who listened to B Flow and Judy 11 years ago can attest to the fact that this song, regardless of how one felt about the two – when it came up on the radio, it took everyone off their feet whether they understood the message or not. This collaboration is truly was, is and will always be masterpiece!
