NO PITY PARTIES – SAYS ALICE MUSUKWA AS SHE CALLS FOR 2026 MR & MISS SUPRANATIONAL AUDITIONS
Auditions for who will be the next Zambia’s Miss Supranational and first Mr Supranational are scheduled for October 4th, 2025, at Chicago’s, Alice Rowlands Musukwa made the announcement in a social media post this afternoon.
In the announcement, Ms. Musukwa shared an important notice to aspiring models as she stated that, despite pageants helping communities, they are not charity organizations but businesses. Therefore, they need to come emotionally and financially prepared.
“Dear models, as you embark on this journey, remember that pageants are not a charitable organization. You need to prepare yourself mentally, emotionally, and financially,” she said in the post.
Ms. Musukwa then called for authenticity as the aspiring Mr and Mrs Supranational come for auditions. She warmed about contestants using emotional stories in order to get attention and sympathy, stating that they’ll see through that.
She wrote, “In this new era, come prepared, come geared, and come ready to represent who you are and what you stand for.”
She continued, “We want to hear about your personal strengths, not pity parties aimed at gaining attention or sympathy. Most of the time, we see through that. Those with untold stories who share them at the right moment often capture attention.”
Zambia’s representative at the Miss Supranational 2025 Namakau Nawa performed exceptionally well winning three titles, including Miss Supranational Africa. Therefore, the expectations from her would be successors are high.
As for the first Mr. Supranational Zambia, the national director Alice Rowlands Musukwa warned that her agency would not be accepting feminine looking men to audition for title.
The upcoming Mr and Mrs Supranational auditions in October mark a significant moment for aspiring models, setting a clear tone of professionalism and readiness as Zambia’s pageant evolves with higher standards and expectations.
