Patson Daka roasted by fans over vacation post around Justin Shonga’s funeral

Patson Daka,  the Leicester City forward posted pictures of himself and friends from Cape town, South African captioned “Until next time SA👋🏾. #MakeJesusYourAim #nikeathlete”

This was posted during the period of the untimely death of former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Justin Shonga.

Most fans did not see this as a good sportsmanship as they played for the Zambia senior football national team.

Fans responded “Honestly this post’s timing is not good at all. We lost your fellow in the good sport, and a friend of yours. We are still mourning. 😢 And sorry to say, I haven’t even seen any word of condolences from you.” – Hamphery Mwasa

Another said “Yeah,he is intitled to whatever but this is wrong timing!!!!
The football fraternity is mourning shonga, the least he could have done is at least let the dust simmer before posting these .
And yes we expect him to post because he’s a public figure and very influencial in the world of sports not ivi…” – Kunda Dorcas

Comments contained as another fan said “There is a reason why Government puts National mourning during funerals for VIP, this is the case with the Zambian football family right now…during that period, any form of entertainment is put on hold (or at least hidden)…this should be the case with you his close colleagues..mwaitaya😏!” – Fabian Banda

Well not everyone had the same opinion as others thought the opposite, like the following facebook users.

“I see nothing wrong with Patson posting this, yes Shonga has passed away………..but that doesn’t mean Daka should not go about his life.” – Mitchell

And Elina Sakala said ”

People will always have something to say, Good or bad, and most of them can’t even afford the lifestyle you have but the want to come here and run their mouth.

Keep living your dream and get your money

The rest doesn’t matter💯💯‼️‼️‼️”

This prompted the superstar to apologise in post on Facebook as he felt he was a bit insensitive as he wrote “Hello everyone,

It’s with a regrettable heart that I write this, I want to apologize for my previous post, doing the right thing at a wrong time. I didn’t mean any disrespect towards the deceased, his family or anyone. Nothing can justify my actions and I take full responsibility for them, I’m deeply sorry and it serves as a lesson for me to learn from.

Thank you ”

This issue had people with mixed opinions,  what do you think, was the superstar in order?
