New soldier addition to Esther Chungu & Pompi’s gospel army as they welcome second child

Pompi and Esther Chungu, gospel artists, have welcomed their second child, a daughter named Micah Nsansa Nyathando, who was born October 26, 2024.
The pair, recognised for their uplifting music and strong faith, announced the good news on social media, each expressing gratitude and delight for this new blessing.
Esther Chungu expressed her delight with a sincere message,“NEW BABY IN TOWN!!! What a glorious way to end the month of October, 2024! My heart is full of gratitude and honor to our Heavenly Father for blessing us with a new arrow in our family quiver!”
She went on to introduce her daughter,“Family, allow me to introduce to you our second born child and Malachi’s little sister, Micah Nsansa Nyathando. The year has brought with it God’s goodness and faithfulness… what a God!”
Pompi, honoring his wife’s role in their family, shared,“On the 26th of October God added one more member to the legacy! We will not hide from them the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord. They will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.”
He continued, “To my amazing wife Esther Chungu, being a mother is a high calling, and I honor you for setting it as a priority. Every day with you is a gift.”
The couple, whose love story inspired the hit song Shamboko, now has two little children, both under the age of two. Their first child, Malachi, was born in August 2023. At the time, Pompi remarked on the influence of fatherhood, writing,“No words are strong enough to name this moment. This weekend God gave us a son… may he know deeply the love you offer.”
Pompi and Esther have frequently expressed thankfulness for the advantages of family life, demonstrating a deep sense of faith. Esther ended her message with a quote from Psalms, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him… Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth” (Psalm 127:3-4).
