PROPHET BUSHIRI says he hired YO MAPS to perform LOVE SONGS and not secular music on his birthday. He called those who criticized his artist choice hypocrites for pretending to not know the difference. đ±
The Malawian prophet argued that YO MAPS came to perform love songs while dressed decently, without any naked women dancing, as he justified his artist choice.
BUSHIRI said there’s nothing wrong with love songs as he listens to them; they are just used to tell loved ones that they are loved, and added that in secular music there are insults. “Do you see anything wrong in that? There’s nothing wrong,” he said.
“The gospel artists are the ones who are actually supposed to sing more love songs, even more than the people in the world because who’s promoting love? If we look at it, because you can’t just be saying you are a gospel artist, okay? And then you don’t promote love,” he added.
He further reaffirmed his position that YO MAPS was hired to perform love songs during his 43rd birthday in Lilongwe, Malawi on 20th February, 2026.
