RAPPER SLAPDEE DISPELS ‘DIVORCE’ RUMOURS IN A VIDEO WITH WIFE MATAKALA LUBINDA
Zambian social media got into a frenzy after several social media reports suggested that the couple had split
Today, February 23rd, 2025 – After several social medial reports suggested that the couple, Mwila Musonda 37 years-old alias Slapdee and wife Matakala Lubinda had split after an instagram post shared by Nkani purported to have been published by the wife with the handle @yours_rakgadi said their marriage troubles were beyond their control, the rapper share a video to dispel the rumours.
In the video, rapper Slapdee and wife Matakala Lubinda seemed to be in disbelief of the circulating rumours about their supposedly separation. The rapper was seen smirking as he sarcastically said “divorce,” whilst the wife sat behind him looking perplexed as Slapdee recorded the video.
This new revelation has been met with mixed feelings from various social users as some called out media outlets for spreading false and unsubstantiated reports against the couple, while some wondered why the wife made the instagram post, “there’s no smoke without fire” one social user said.
New reports from online media Nkani which was recently shared on their page revealed that, the instagram account purported to be Slapdee’s wife Matakala Lubinda with the handle @yours_rakgadi shared a new update stating, “False alarm. Solini,” issuing an apology for the false alarm.
This has ignited further mixed reactions from social users, as they are now left wondering what is really true and what is not. Whilst some wished the online media outlet Nkani shared a screenshot of the current and previous post given that the account is private in order to give confidence to users in the reports.
In as much there maybe several questions in social user’s minds, one thing is clear, the couple is still together and are still so in love, at least so it seems from the video shared, and their fans are happy that the rumours were not true
The couple who have been married for several years have three children in between them which include Zamani Musonda, Nandi Musonda and another child whose identity has never been made public but was just shared on social media in June of 2021 as rapper Slapdee captioned it “blessings follow me.”
This is not the first time that their marriage has rumours of having troubles, in June of 2022, rumours surfaced of the rapper physically abusing the wife but these allegations were put to bed after the wife shared a video to dispel the allegations. A pure relief in their fans hearts that these rumours too have been put to rest.
