ROBERTO AND CHESTER HAVE STOOD THE TEST OF TIME BY MASTERING THEIR CRAFT SAYS DJ MZENGA MAN
Renowned Zambian DJ and music producer, DJ Mzenga Man took to his Facebook yesterday to acknowledge two of his industry peers Roberto and Cheste, who through storms that have ended careers, remained firm and consistent – as they have continued to deliver hits for over 17 years.
DJ Mzenga Man mentioned that Roberto and Chester were so much similar in terms of resilience and how they have continued to produce a hit from time to time. He wrote, “I see alot of similarities in Roberto and Chester. These are extremely seasoned talented artists who have actually been around the music scene for almost the same period. Kuchoka che kudala(for a long time), these two names never phase out, they usually stand out with a banger outtah nowhere. ”
The DJ further acknowledge that, Roberto and Chester have recently released a hit or two each, which further solidifies the fact that they have mastered their craft.
“As we speak, Roberto has “BESTIE,” a song he dropped I think two weeks ago which is buzzing everywhere pa street monga inachoka kudala. Chester, on the other hand, has since last year, with his “Eondangana” track been banging through and through monga kaya!”
DJ Mzenga Man who seems to have observed their work patterns, noted that despite their prime ending, the two have remained consistent throughout changing seasons, generations and an evolving industry as they have continued to produce at least record that trends from time to time.
He said, “But, I want you to look at their pattern attentively in the last 17 years. No matter the weather, they can be silent for a few months, a year or two, but in one way or the other, they will pop up with a banger which trends for a while.”
He continued by saying, “In short, they have mastered their craft so well that it doesn’t matter who is in power, who is trending, which generation is musically happening at that moment— they will always appear OUTTA NO WHERE and bang.”
DJ Mzenga Man concluded his rare praise post for fellow industry peers by noting individual achievements made by Roberto and Chester in the past two years in terms of music.
He noted that Chester had Bachabe Chabe and Eondangana Nankwe whilst Roberto had Poverty and Bestie, of which their latest releases are bangers dominating the street, radio, TV and digital streaming platforms charts. “Receive your flowers, gentlemen,” said DJ Mzenga Man as he ended his post.
Roberto responded to the post as he said, “My brother, I thank you. It is truly such an honour to be part of such rich Zambian history, and the support is amazing. I agree with you. Chester deserves his flowers. Such a genius at what he does.” Chester joined in the bromance as he responded, “Roberto, cheers bro, that’s why our colabo will be a bomb! Uliwakulekafye.” Now their fans can not wait for such a rare combination.
Truly to his revelation, the two artists have contributed greatly to the music industry and have continued to do so, delivering and entertaining their fans for many years. It’s surely their artistic skills and character that have kept them relevant for such a long time.
