Rufaru born Emmanuel Munande is a Lusaka based singer whose career had an unexpected launch as his efforts on a friends’ chorus got him a notice from a producer turning him from a guy escorting friends to the studio into one recording music.
Unbeknownst to his father, his rich radio song choices like playing the legendary Amayenge, Danny Kaya and others along with shows such as Sound Arcades on TV bore heavy influence on the young “Rufaru” influencing his love for music and preparing him for that one life changing moment in studio.
Rufaru attended his primary education at several schools in Mandevu, with his 8th and 9th grades being at Muleya Primary School, and his high school education attained at Lusaka High School. Besides being a seasoned singer, he is also a science laboratory technologist from Evelyn Hone College.
The singer has released massive hits that have placed him on the top of the Zambian music scene, with hits such as “Nobody featuring Willz,” “Mumanja featuring Freeman,” and “Sorry featuring Tale” being his most recent offering.
