Social media ignited into flames after a post by skyline car dealers supposedly throwing jabs at Remmy Kangwa went viral
A day before Skyline Car Dealers threw what was regarded as a subliminal jab against socialite and business man Remmy Kangwa, the socialite shared a post that read, “when you see someone trying to better themselves do them a favor and stop holding them to their past.”
A day later, Skyline Car Dealers took to their social media to share a post far from their usual business, which is sharing vehicle content in order to attract customers. They wrote in a post that caused chaos among the socialite’s fans, they said,”We did not need him though.”
The people who follow them thought it was a battle of ‘subliminal jabs’ as the two did not disclose who they were referring to. This resulted in the followers making assumptions that the company was throwing jabs at their former brand ambassador, Remmy Kangwa.
Remmy Kangwa had been brand ambassador for the said company since 2022. In November, 2023 the socialite announced that he had been given 200,000 Zambian Kwacha for a car he was promised by the company and he was promoted to Marketing Director, a position he held until he was appointed Managing Director of the said company in November, 2024.
On December 3Oth, 2024 the socialite followed through with his initial announcement of leaving Skyline Car Dealers, a move which was announced by both parties signifying a mutual termination of contract. This followed with the socialite announcing the launch of his new company Gold Motors Car Dealers, a move he was highly criticized for as it suggested that the business man and socialist had left the previous company to take over their business. “With all the skill and knowledge he learned working for them only to form a business in the same line with his former employer to take over their business,” several social users shared.
In response to their supposedly feud, the socialite took to his Facebook to share a long article, as he wrote,”Dear colleagues, I understand how you felt about the post and how you feel about the situation. I want to state that my decision to leave the company was not due to any misunderstanding with the company. I did not join Skyline as an employee, instead, I joined to help the company grow.”
In showing his commitment when working at the said company and the reason he left the company, the socialite shared, “I recall using my own house freely without a pay to meet clients before the office was established, because I was willing to simply help the company grow. When it grew, I decided to leave to pursue my personal dreams. And I am so proud of everything I did there, I don’t regret it.”
He continued to state his opinion on the post his former company shared as he said, “I believe the post was not about me but perhaps about someone else known to the company. I am now a new person, and my focus is on growing Gold Motors Car Dealers. I wish my colleagues at my former company the best, they are very nice people, and I have nothing against them. My prayer is to see them grow even bigger than when I left the company. This world is big enough for everyone, and if we focus and deal honestly, we can achieve greatness.”
The socialite would wish that his official statement on the aforementioned matter would settle the issue and people would understand that there’s no feud between the two parties. Is everything OK, what is your opinion.
