The Icon Zambia season two has come to a historic end after a highly contested finale grandiose edition held at CIELA RESORT, which saw Tasha Nyambe, who was representing Lusaka, get crowned as the winner.
After conducting auditions that saw over 300 contestants across four cities which included Livingstone, Lusaka, Kitwe and Kasama take part, the Icon Zambia reached the grand finale with Mawi, Katende, Farah, Tasha Nyambe and Mweembe making the top 5.
The grand finale had three rounds. After the first round, Katende was eliminated through a public vote followed by Mweembe in the second round.
The top three contestants, Mawi, Tasha Nyambe, and Farah, delivered original song performances in the last round.
After a public vote, Tasha Nyambe was crowned the winner of the Icon Zambia season 2.
“Thank you for opening your hearts to my music. I really appreciate it,” said Tasha Nyambe, who seemingly ran out of words after being announced as the winner.
Singer Mawi took the third spot. Meanwhile, rapper Farah took the second spot.
Tasha Nyambe walked away with a brand new Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, 250,000 Kwacha cash, a house, a trip to Paris, a scholarship, health insurance for her and her family, and a recording contract.
