THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS VERY DARK, THERE’S WITCHCRAFT – THE KOPALA PASTOR SPEAKS ON HIS INITIATION

PLEASE NOTE: This article is an adaptation from The Kopala Pastor’s interview with Hellen Zulu on Getting Candid with Hellen.
While on Hellen Zulu’s “Getting Candid with Hellen,” top Zambian artist now turned man of God working with Malawi’s prophet Bushiri – The Kopala Pastor revealed a tale of demonic events that took place in the Zambian music industry as he told a story of his initiation into the practice and his experience.
Malachi Ng’andu who has changed not only genres but his birth name and stage name shared a tale contrary to Yo Maps’ assertion that there’s no satanism in the industry and people ought to just work hard revealed that during his transition from gospel to secular music – where he struggled to find grounds and how it got him initiated.
After a series of performances characterized by being booeing for not being good, he delivered a spectacular performance. A well-known artist would approach him off stage, complimenting his amazing artistic skills and later offered him an opportunity to become a successful artist, promising him to be even bigger than the late P Jay.
The naive artist thought it was funding and connections he was about to receive but only to find himself at a river performing rituals. ” I honestly thought it was money. It turned out something else, and it’s real, man. It’s real. I mean, we had to go to some river and do some initiations,” said The Kopala Rapper.
“Let me not lie, those things work. There was a time when I felt like I was getting spiritual attacks, and I really felt like I was going to go. That was my turning point because I didn’t really stay longer,” he said as he gave accolades to God for getting him out before he got too deeply involved.
The rapper who said the initiations sometimes involves only wearing a necklace during performances, in responding to Hellen’s question on the impact of his initiation, he revealed that people started respecting him and supporting him. “There is like a supernatural push. There is just attention that is put on you,” said the artist.
“How dark is the industry?” Hellen asked to which the prophet/artist answered, “It is very dark.” The Kopala Pastor would go on to talk about praying for fellow artists and the spirit of depression which hovered around the industry in 2017 before revealing that some creatives are target for their talent.
“A star can be exchanged. Yes, Hellen, it can be exchanged and it is done supernaturally in such a way that what is supposed to be coming to you, it begins to come to me and this is the reason why I wish most young artists can know what I’m going to say,” said the artist.
He further added, “Most young artists think if they collaborate with a bigger artist nishi balapisha. You understand? But sometimes you need to be very spiritually sensitive because an artist can feature you, and that can bury you forever. Why? Because your aura and your star has been used. It’s been taken by the other.”
Hellen Zulu and The Kopala Pastor would then share a similar sentiment on an observations they made as they said that some artists would feature an established artists and that would be the end of their career as they would fail to make another hit alleging that the bigger artist took their “star.”
To cement his assertion, The Kopala Pastor added to say there are spiritual spells that are cast at artists who are just blowing to distract them with family wrangles, illness, and sometimes death of relatives.
He recounted a time he lost his voice a few weeks to a P Jay tribute performance alongside Scarlett and T Sean at the 2015 Zambian Music Awards stating that people wanted his performance slot – he would only be partly rescued by TB Joshua’s holly water as all other avenues failed.
The Kopala Pastor would fully regain his voice immediately when the performance was done. T Sean would also confirm receiving spiritual attacks.
The rapper who revealed that he received more spiritual attacks like getting involved in accidents, feeling the presence of people in a room when there shouldn’t be and doors unlocking themselves said some artist’s delayed success is beyond talent but the spiritual part he has explained.
The Kopala Pastor has shared a component that most artists do not really share, but with over 20 years in the music industry and being a man of God, could there be credibility to the tale?
