THEY’VE RELEASED PART 2 AND WE HAVEN’T EVEN WATCHED PART 1 – SOCIAL USERS WONDER AFTER MWIZUKANJI PART 2 TRAILER RELEASE

TOP Zambian filmmaker Cosmas Ng’andwe released the trailer for his 2025 AMVCA Best Indigenous Language Southern Africa award winning movie MWIZUKANJI’s part two this past Friday.

The film, which is written and directed by Cosmas Ng’andwe and produced by his wife Carol Chisembele, received a huge response from social users after the release of its trailer.
In the trailer video’s comment section, one social user, Mwila Munkonde, voiced out a concern the majority of the social users shared as he asked, “How come 2 we didn’t even watch 1(shocked emoji).”
Meanwhile, another social user, Gracious Chilekwa, voicing out how hard it is to watch a Zambian film, said, “Zambian movies nayo for you to watch them you need connections. That’s why Nigerian movies are doing fine. Pa zed everything ni connection. Aweeee!”
According to MWIZUKANJI TWO trailer, the movie which stars Diana Banda, follows an interesting tale of a character “Mwizukanji” who is framed for a crime she did not commit and from there, a chain of events ensue creating a thrilling must watch movie.
The movie features notable music industry characters, including rapper Macky 2, who plays a high profile individual, rappe, and comedian Ndine Emm, who plays an IT specialist and producer KB Killa Beats, who plays a judge.
The movie also features Mpali actors Shiba Phiri (Beenzu), Hellena Mizinga(Chola), and Judith Moro(Monica – left Mpali). It also features Florence Mweemba and Jackies Amon Phiri.
The movie’s part two trailer received several positive reviews with social users looking forward to seeing it in cinema this October 25th, 2025.
Meanwhile, others sought to find out how they could watch the first and second part as screening of the first part was only done in Lusaka. (It is available on local movie streaming platform INWIT).
NOW – several Zambian movies enthusiasts call on Zambian filmmakers to find easy ways people can access their movies as the difference between those who know about the movies and those who have actually watched is alarming.
