WE INVITE HER AS WHO? ASKS MWIZUKANJI AMID QUERIES OVER TENDAI’S ABSENSE AT BUKATA’S BIRTHDAY PARTY
With Bukata turning five year-old yesterday, social users got into a battle with their keyboards to try and send birthday wishes to the little beloved princess who has grown in their eyes. A busy day it was, as everyone celebrated the influential young personality.
Amoung those who wished Bukata a happy birthday was her father, Yo Maps who captioned his birthday massage as, “Happy birthday mwanangu aka princess Olio. Lesa alundepo ama years.” A post that went on to receive over a hundred thousand reactions. Her stepmother, media personality Kidist Kifle also sent in birthday wishes, an act she was applauded for.
As the day continued, her mother started sharing images of a birthday party she was organising for her. Her social handles were filled with several media personalities’ images who attend the girl’s party. As expected, her followers were expecting to see Bukata’s little half sister in attendance but to their surprise, she was not in the images shared.
One social user took it upon herself to ask under a post captioned, “Utunensu with best friends,” as she said,”(Wh)y was tendai not invited? if it was the other way round, the olios would have been stoned.”
The enterpreneur, socialite and Bukata’s mother responded with a not so pleased tone as she said, “We invite her as who?” A response that caused a frenzy on social media with some agreeing and others disagreeing with her.
Over the years, there has been a lot of talking because the two families never invite each other to their children’s important life event such as birthdays. It is not known if the two sisters have met before but social users are concerned over the distance the families are creating between the girls due to their diferences.
Mwizukanji dated singer Yo Maps until their breakup in 2020 after they had Bukata on March 15th, 2020 – a breakup that was surrounded with so much drama. The singer went on to marry Kidist Kifle on April 23rd, 2022 and have baby Tendai who is now 3 years old.
Their father top Zambian artist Yo Maps, recently released his album MY HERO, on the album he dedicated a song “Bana Bandi” to his daughters, encouraging them to unite and take care of each other. Tendai has been seen in videos recognizing her sister on portraits signifying that her parents are making efforts in uniting them but here, the opposite seems true, or not?
Well, for now social users will have different opinions but most of them wish to see this seemingly bitter episode come to an end, and the sisters unite, as their influence combined could make something meaningful. What are your views?
