Copperbelt rapper Webster Chikabala alias Y Celeb took to his socials to apologise for causing a commotion that led to his arrest on Saturday after attending the Nkana vs. Power Dynamos match.
The rapper called it a misunderstanding and that it was not his intention to gather or influence people who followed him.
“I’m humbled by the love and support I’ve received, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to clear my name,” said the rapper in part.
He further said, “To the police, I apologize for any inconvenience caused, and I appreciate your efforts to maintain law and order. I understand that you were doing your job, and I respect that.”
An amateur footage showed the rapper being put in a police cruiser with several people scampering chaotically along a street while another showed him cheering at the football match moments before his arrest.
Y Celeb, who also apologized to his fans, has since promised to mind his surroundings and use his influence positively by promoting unity and love.
