YO MAPS AND OLIOS ON FULL-FORCE AFRIMA AWARDS CAMPAIGN AFTER DITCHING KWACHA MUSIC AWARDS
The Olios Kingdom has gone on a full-blown campaign for AFRIMA Awards’ BEST MALE ARTISTE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA after ditching local musical awards “KWACHA MUSIC AWARDS” a few days ago.
Unlike their nominations on the Kwacha Music Awards, which are usually left without a single post requesting votes or announcing their nomination, Yo Maps, Olios Records, DJ Kandeke and Kidist Kifle were noted in the past two days posting or sharing a post rallying support for the superstar.
Yo Maps is battling top Southern Africa giants, including Nasty C, Tyler ICU, and Kabza De Small, among others.
The singer announced turning down his seven nominations at the 7th edition of the Kwacha Music Awards, stating, “In 2025, our priority is NOT to seek nominations but contribute directly to the growth of the industry.”
The Olios may not seek local nominations but definitely international ones like AFRIMA Awards, which many of their followers say are more prestigious.
The voting stage is open, and the Olios are not joking as they are going on a full force campaign to have their hands on that AFRIMA Awards’ Best Male Artiste – Southern award.
