“GREET SATA, KK AND RUPIAH, TEACH ME HOW TO LIVE WITHOUT YOU” – YO MAPS TELLS EDGAR LUNGU ON NEW TRIBUTE SONG

After the death of the 6th republican president Edgar C Lungu, grieving Zambians turned to Yo Maps requesting for a melody to accompany their sorrow and to their surprise, the singer responded with a tribute song titled MUNI POSHELEKO.

On the tribute song, “Muni Posheleko – My Regards,” the singer asks the former president to greet some of the public figures that the country has lost, which include former presidents and artists.

The notable public figures include Micheal Sata, Levy Patrick Mwanawasa, Kenneth Kaunda, Rupiah Banda, Joe Chibangu, and P Jay.

“Show me how to live without you. Teach me how to mourn you,” a translation of what Yo Maps sang, a message that many can relate to as most people coping with grief use it.

In the song, the singer went ahead to talk about how it is unbelievable that the late former president has died, further revealing that it hurts and he is missed dearly.

Many people had been calling for the singer to release the song after seeing what he delivered on late legendary artist Dandy Krazy’s tribute song “I WISH” and they were expecting a similar or better record to help them mourn their beloved former president.

Well, the song has been received with a lot of mixed feelings as some feel it’s below their expectations and that the singer should not have given in to the pressure of releasing a tribute song for the late president while others feel he omitted some important public figures such as late former president Fredrick Chiluba.

Overall, people love and have welcomed the song and highly anticipated the official audio as they only sampled it during a Facebook live.
