YO MAPS GETS SECOND ALBUM TO HIT 5 MILLION SPOTIFY STREAMS IN 4 MONTHS WITH “MY HERO” ALBUM

Singer and producer Yo Maps continues to set new records and redefine the Zambian music landscape. Released on December 25th, 2025, Yo Maps’ third solo career studio album ‘MY HERO’ has become his second album to surpass five million spotify streams after his 2023’s Try Again album.
Yo Maps’ My Hero album has accumulated over 5,011,654 spotify streams in a little less than four months. The album also became the fourth most streamed album by a Zambian artist on platform after Chef 187’s Broke Nolunkumbwa (2023), Roberto’s Amarulah (2015) and his Try Again album (2023).
The album is also doing extremely well on other digital streaming platforms such as boomplay where it has hit over 42.4 million, Audiomack with 1.44 million streams and on YouTube where it has accumulated over 19,056,071 views with total streams on DSPs hitting over 67.8 million.
The does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon as it is acquiring over 2 million streams every month across four earlier mentioned digital streaming platforms, signifying its highly infectious nature fueling its success.
Since his breakthrough in 2018 with his finally hit single, singer Yo Maps has seen an exponential growth in career, changing the narrative and level of artistry in the Zambian music industry giving his peers a tough race but most importantly raising the industry standard through influencing digital streaming as seen from his DSPs statistics.
Try Again album is almost hitting 12 million streams on spotify, as it continues to be the most streamed project in Zambia. Is his My Hero album going to catch up and break the record?
