Zambia Music Association why only me cries out Yo Maps

Zambia Music Association is biased, they only come for me but not other artists when there are disputes

Yo Maps’ influence is so unmatched that one single live video has lead to a series of events with several artists, individuals and organisations affected by his sentiments sharing their agrievances in statements and live videos.

These series of events was ignited by a live video which was made three days ago, the artist took to his Facebook through a live video to denounce several matters among them his fellow celebrity haters who dragged his name over Dandy Krazy’s funeral saying he showed “fake love.” In the live video, the singer called them out for accusing him to be fake but later ate his food that he donated to late legendary artist Dandy Krazy’s funeral.

The statement of note is that of the Zambia Music Association president who said in part, “We advise him to withdraw his statement and consider better ways of whatever means to reach out to whoever he’s having a dispute with.”

The artist did not recieve this well as he took to his social media to offer his opinion on the issue. In his statement, the artist’s message was clear, he felt the association was not doing its job with fairness as it only offered statements when it was him responding to people or rather artists attacking him but were quite when he was being attacked through songs, social media posts and more.

The artist took time to remind the association of their role in Zambian music which he said that they seem to have forgotten about. “<span;>The role of ZAM, as a professional body, is to protect and uplift all artists, ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and respect,” he said.

Yo Maps was saddened by the association only coming in when he uttered anything in his defense, something he termed “double standards,” when other individuals said several things that were damaging to his brand.

The artist ended his statement with a plea for the Zambia Music Association to do what is right as he said in his closing remarks encouraging, “<span;>its leadership to re-evaluate their approach to conflict resolution and artist representation.”

The artist hoped that this message he has sent out will be a chance for the association not to take sides next time and be impartial in the activity, learning from the situation to do what is right.
