Zambian and Malawian Artists Unite in Birmingham for Zambia’s 60th Independence Anniversary Celebration

Zambia is celebrating its 60th year of independence this year, and in true festive spirit, Zambian and Malawian artists will bring the festivities to life with a high-energy show in Birmingham, United Kingdom, on October 25th.

Zambia gained independence from British colonial authority on October 24, 1964, and Zambians in the diaspora, particularly in the United Kingdom, have marked the celebration with concerts by Zambian artists.

However, this year’s event, organised by Life Time Entertainment, promises to be unlike any before. The performance will showcase a star-studded lineup of Zambian and Malawian artists, resulting in an electrifying cultural mix for the crowd.This year’s show, dubbed ZAMALAWI, will include some of Zambia’s and Malawi’s most popular musicians, including Zambian headliners Yo Maps, Macky 2, Xaven, Nez Long, Mampi, and Rich Bizzy.

In addition, Malawian artists Eli Njuchi, Tay Grin, Driemo, and Kell Kay will perform on stage.These Malawian artists have previously collaborated with Zambian singers on songs including Bana Pwanya, So Mone, FOLLOW, and Yabaya, which became viral hits.
