ZAMBIAN ARTISTS DALISOUL AND B1 RELEASE CAMPAIGN SONG FOR MALAWIAN PRESIDENT CHAKWERA
Zambians are stunned after waking up to a new campaign song from legendary Zambian artists Dalisoul and B1, sending praise and advocating for the re-election of Malawian president Lazarus Chakwera.
The campaign song is a collaboration between the said Zambian artist and Malawian Afro-pop artist DAN LU tittled THE WINNING TEAM.
According to a YouTube channel that put out the song, it was released three days ago, and has so far accumulated over 57,000 views on the said platform.
The song has gained traction in Zambia as it has been widely shared by Zambian media and stirring reactions from Zambian social users who have responded with mixed feelings and shock.
One social user wrote, “How is this allowed? They are not supposed to sing on behalf of the Malawain people. Are these the sentiments of the people of Malawi?”
Others also shared their thoughts as they wrote, “iyi yena ni hit osati madongodongo abene kasongo,” and “I thought the saying goes like ndeo yabene si ba vulila shirt?”
Dalisoul and B1 have neither posted the video nor shared any statement, causing social users to speculate that their job was to just create a campaign song, give it to the owners, and get paid.
Malawi goes to the polls next month, September 16th, 2025, and the current sitting president Lazarus Chakwera is seeking reelection for a second term – will this campaign song help him continue holding the highest office in the land?
