ZAMTEL SOCIAL MEDIA AWARDS 24/2025 NOMINEES REVEALED, BA MATERO BAGS 5 NOMINATIONS
The first edition of the ZAMTEL Social Medial Awards was announced, and nominees were revealed on 10th March, 2025.
As usual, there were a lot of mixed feelings after the nominees were announced – from Remmy Kangwa’s withdrawal due to being placed in the same category as the late philanthropist Dora Moono Nyambe and Chanda’s (from Chanda Na Kay) partner Nikita ranting about how some influencers were left out such as Fashion Police Zambia and the lack of proper awareness campaign by the award organisers.
Overall, many celebrated their nomination as the prize for each category is 25,000 Zambian Kwacha and a brand new Toyota Hilux worth 1.5 million Zambian Kwacha to the winner of “Content Creator of the Year,” category.

Other celebrities like Kidist Kifle and Chile One were not part of the nominees, and their fans took to social media to vent out their frustration. Others social users highlighted that the nominees were selected by people during the nomination period.
Despite not being nominated, singer Roberto showed his appreciation to Zamtel for creating the awards as he wrote, “Fully support this initiative. Thank you Zamtel for creating these awards.”
Ba Matero was the most nominated bagging five nomination, including the biggest category among the fifteen categories, which is “Content Creator of the Year.” Who will be the biggest winner of the night?
