Nationality co-hit maker Jay Trigga, while featuring on Benas Banda’s 50K Podcast, revealed that he holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and a master’s degree in Business Management.
Jack Lumbeta Kafukwila alias Jay Trigga studied engineering at China’s Liaoning Shihua University starting in 2015 and graduated in 2019 and then pursued a master’s degree at China’s Shenyang Aerospace University graduating in 2023.
The singer also revealed that he did not have any interest in making music until he went to university.
“People who know me since that time actually get shocked that I’m making music now because I was always just like school school school, up until I went to university that’s when I started like meeting different people with different mindsets,” said the singer.
His colleague ARI pursued a degree in marketing in Serbia but dropped out mid way to pursue his hustle and music back home in Zambia.
Jay Trigga has entered the Zambian music mainstream with his smash hit NATIONALITY with ARI but he still appreciates how his education affects his music career and the networking that came with being in university.
“When you go to university obviously the biggest advantage is the “paper” but then the people you meet along the way is the bigger resource, you know? Cause if I didn’t go there, I wouldn’t have been thinking I can make music,” said Jay Trigga.
