LEARN A SKILL, INDUSTRY NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE CARE OF YOU FOR LIFE – JAY ROX TO ARTISTS

JAY ROX advised fellow artists to learn a skill, go to school, or find something they can fall back on, as the industry is not strong enough to take care of an artist until they die.

“We are still struggling with some of our legends today, so you have to be quicker, you have to think,” he added after congratulating B Flow on his latest academic achievement.
Jay Rox clarified that he is not telling artists to take a corporate job but to learn a skill or something while they are doing music that will sustain them in their 40s or 50s when they can’t be “chasing the life”; people are listening to the young guys and they need to have a better life, but music isn’t paying them as it used to.
The rapper did not mention any artists.
