Afunika is under fire after telling News Diggers that he doesn’t know the Dance who twerked during Dandy’s funeral
AFUNIKA IS A LIAR – SISTA D IN A CRYPTIC MESSAGE
Legendary artist Sista D has subliminally called out Kalindula artist AFUNIKA over denying a dancer who danced inappropriately ‘twerked’ during his performance at Dandy Krazy’s funeral.
On 6th January, 2025, debates ran through Zambian social media as Afunika’s supposedly dancer, who during his ‘Piki Piki’ song performance at Dandy Krazy’s funeral caught mourner’s attention for her inappropriate moves.
The artist was widely reprimanded for the wrong song choice and his supposedly dancer’s moves during a funeral of renowned Zambian musician, DandyKrazy. In an edition of News Diggers which featured Afunika on 11th January, 2025 quoted the artist saying “I don’t know the lady who twerked on stage during my tribute.”
This did not sit well with Sista D who took to her social media and wrote a cryptic message saying, “I don’t like people who lie with a straight face. A certain musician claimed they did not know the dancer who came to perform on their set during the rehearsals for the Artistic Send-Off.”
She continued her disapproval of the artist’s act by saying, “However, the same dancer appeared again to perform on their set at the send-off, even after I, as the Artistic Director for the event, personally spoke with them following concerns raised about such an act at the funeral.
A few days ago, I was reading the News Diggers newspaper, and once again, the musician claimed they don’t know the dancer. What a world!”
Was it necessary for the artist to lie about knowing the dancer or not, however this has not sat well with Sista D who was the “Artists Director” for the event at Dandy Krazy’s funeral and claims to have seen the dancer on two separate events. What are your views?
