TOP Zambian artists YO MAPS and BOMBSHELL GRENADE have been nominated at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) set for September 12th in Dallas, Texas, USA.
Yo Maps has been nominated for “Best Male Southern Africa” artist and he is going against Cassper Nyovest (SA), Zeze Kingston (MW), Nutty O (ZIM), William Last KRM (BW), DJ Maphorisa (SA), Scott Maphuma (SA) and Kabza De Small (SA).
Meanwhile, Bombshell Grenade is going against Tyla (SA), Charma Gal (BW), Tamy Moyo (ZIM), Makhadzi (SA), MaWhoo (SA), Uncle Waffles (SA), Babalwa M (SA) and Hanna (ZIM) for “Best Female Southern Africa” artist.
Yo Maps has secured his first AFRIMMA nomination while Bombshell Grenade gets her third, with the other times being in 2020 and in 2021 where she won “Best Female Rapper in Africa.”
The two artists are going against some of the biggest artists in Southern Africa but are not names that they haven’t defeated before, raising hope for their fans.
