Kidist Kifle Is The Worst Judge – A Fan Laments
The Icon Zambia is a talent show that is created by music manager David Kazadi, who is also a film director, owner of Kazadi Music and Kazadi Films that was established to discover a talented singer and the winner would get several different prizes with the number one winner getting up to K1,000,000.00 in winnings.
The show has pulled a in a lot of competitors, who graced the Icon Zambia stage with some proceeding in the show while some getting eliminated.
The Icon Zambia competition has received a lot of backlash from show viewers in terms of the judging methods, as some felt the judges were biased, rude and unqualified to judge at such a show!
Most of the show was full of negative comments on how the show was being conducted, the Icon Zambia judge Kidist Kifle received so much backlash from the fans of the show as she had to respond saying “One doesn’t have to be a singer, in order to be a talent judge”

It didn’t take long until it was announced that Kidist Kifle, who is wife to top Zambian artist Yo Maps was leaving the show in what the show management called a “mutual descion” and wished her the very best in her future endeavours.

In response to this, a fan took it personal and stirred social media into chaos with her respond as she said
“If Mwizukanji was the first choice judge and later you decided to bring Kidist I can surely tell you she wouldn’t have left, she loves staying glued to the things that belonged to Mwizukanji holding them tight. Jokes aside she was the worse judge I’ve ever seen judging, she preferred everyone to sing in auto-tune like Yo boy Maps. I hope the ICON WILL NOW BE MORE LIVE AND EXCITING.”
